Le sacrifice

Jesus Christ crucified rises within the smoke of a burning stone altar as an Old Testament worshiper stands with open hands beside a woman and child. The earthly offering points upward to Calvary, joining the language of altar, fire, and substitution with the finished sacrifice of the Cross.
